End of Life for iManage Work Indexer powered by IDOL


End of life for iManage Work Indexer powered by IDOL and iManage Records Manager (IRM) Indexer for IDOL is approaching, with limited support extended until December 31, 2024. To ensure your systems remain up-to-date and secure, your account manager will reach out to guide you through the transition to the RAVN Indexer. This migration will not only reduce risk but also offer enhanced search capabilities and improved integration with iManage Security Policy Manager.

Work Desktop for Windows - New Features

 

The Work Desktop for Windows August Release 10.9.4 has some exciting new features:

 

Enhancements to sending attachments securely

Enhanced our Secure Send feature. From now on, when users insert an attachment using the Insert iManage Attachment in an email with Secure Send option, an iManage Share link is added to the email. The email recipients can select the iManage Share link and enter their iManage Share credentials to access the attachment sent. If they don’t have access to the file, they can ask for access by selecting Request Access. For more information about this feature, refer to the Sending secure attachments section in iManage Work Desktop for Windows Help.

 

Ability to work offline

From iManage Work Desktop for Windows 10.9.4 onwards, users can work offline by selecting the Work Offline option available in the Connect drop-down list on the iManage tab. When users select the Work Offline option, iManage Work Desktop for Windows automatically goes offline in all the open Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat applications.

 

The Connect drop-down list is displayed in red and is disconnected. If users open any closed Microsoft Office or Adobe Acrobat applications, these applications also remain disconnected. The iManage Open and iManage Save As dialogs also indicate to the users that they are offline.

 

Users can go online by selecting a iManage Work Server in the Connect drop-down list. Alternatively, they can close all the open Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat applications and restart them to connect back to an iManage Work Server.

 

Any edits made to files in offline mode can be uploaded to iManage Work by using the iManage Offline page. For more information about how to view and upload offline files, refer to the Viewing and uploading section in iManage Work Desktop for Windows Help.

iManage Work for Microsoft Teams (cloudimanage.com only)

 

iManage Work has integrated with Microsoft Teams to enhance document management capabilities within the cloudimanage.com environment. Users can now effortlessly archive their Teams chats, posts, or entire conversations directly into iManage Work by simply selecting the desired content.The saved conversations are converted into PDF format, adhering to a specific naming convention for easy identification and retrieval. Additionally, any files shared within these conversations are not only saved but also linked to the corresponding PDF for a comprehensive document trail.This feature ensures that all related documents are conveniently accessible within the iManage Work's Related Documents tab, streamlining workflow and collaboration.

Meet the Team: Yvonne Kelly - Customer Success Manager

 

We had the opportunity to sit down with Yvonne Kelly and delve into her experiences with OIA.


How long have you been with OIA?

I have worked in the legal industry focusing on various aspects of training, change management, projects and business integration for over 15 years, throughout this time I have used and seen iManage evolve as a product. I joined OIA in May 2022 as a Customer Success Manager but I actually first meet Jeff, Andy and Brett from OIA back in 2010 when living in New Zealand!


What’s your favourite part about being with OIA?

Besides my work colleagues, who are lovely, fun and supportive, my favourite part about working at OIA is the satisfaction my job gives me. No two days are the same. I love the area of Customer Success, which allows me to support my amazing clients while still getting my hands dirty in project management, change management and training. As someone who needs to nurture, my role ticks all the boxes!


What’s something to do with iManage that you’re looking forward to?

I am excited about the next gen co-authoring that’s coming soon! It’s a feature which clients have been keen to see for some time, allowing documents to autosave and easily co-author directly from the Office client. And of course there is the area of GenAI too!
