Advisory: Action required to preserve the iManage Work Communications Server for Exchange connection to Microsoft 365

 

iManage has issued an advisory for users of the iManage Work Communications Server for Exchange, highlighting the need for immediate action to maintain connectivity with Microsoft Office 365. Due to upcoming changes in Office 365, users must update their configurations to ensure uninterrupted service.

iManage Work for Microsoft Teams (cloudimanage.com only)

 

iManage Work has integrated with Microsoft Teams to enhance document management capabilities within the cloudimanage.com environment. Users can now effortlessly archive their Teams chats, posts, or entire conversations directly into iManage Work by simply selecting the desired content. The saved conversations are converted into PDF format, adhering to a specific naming convention for easy identification and retrieval. Additionally, any files shared within these conversations are not only saved but also linked to the corresponding PDF for a comprehensive document trail. This feature ensures that all related documents are conveniently accessible within the iManage Work's Related Documents tab, streamlining workflow and collaboration.

Cloud to Cloud Transition

 

Clients currently in imanage.work (Classic Cloud) in AU DC will be required to move to cloudimanage.com endpoint towards the end of 2025. Your account manager will be in touch shortly to discuss this transition.

End of Life for Work Server Applications and Services 10.0 – 10.2x (December 2025)

 

iManage has announced the end-of-life (EOL) for its Work Server Applications and Services versions 10.0 to 10.2.x, effective December 2025. Users of these versions are advised to upgrade to the latest supported versions to ensure continued support and access to new features. This transition is crucial for maintaining security, performance, and compliance with industry standards.

End of Life for iManage Work Indexer powered by IDOL

 

The iManage Work Indexer powered by IDOL and iManage Records Manager (IRM) Indexer for IDOL reached its end of life, with limited support concluding on December 31, 2024. OIA recommends transitioning to the RAVN Indexer to stay up-to-date. This migration not only reduces risk but also offers enhanced search capabilities and improved integration with iManage Security Policy Manager.

OIA will continue to provide level 1 support for iManage Work Indexer powered by IDOL to direct customers who are still on maintenance, where it is practical to do so and where the issue can be solved with training, administration, configuration or installation; and is not the result of a known defect or needs to be escalated to iManage for further assistance.

Meet the Team: Michael Barry - Solutions Manager

 

We had the opportunity to sit down with Michael Barry and delve into his experiences with OIA.

 

How long have you been with OIA?

I've been with OIA for over 27 years. My journey began as a TSG Engineer, where I honed my technical skills. I then transitioned to a dual role, combining TSG Engineering with iManage Support. This experience paved the way for my work as an iManage Consultant, focusing on implementations. Later, I became an iManage Trainer, teaching the iCSE and IRM courses. My career continued to evolve as I took on Project Management responsibilities, and now, I serve as the Solutions Manager.

 

What’s your favourite part about being with OIA?

The variety of roles I've had over the years has been incredibly fulfilling. I love providing and delivering solutions to our customers, which keeps my work dynamic and rewarding.

 

What’s something to do with iManage that you’re looking forward to?

I'm particularly excited about the integration of AI and what it brings to our solutions. The potential for AI to enhance our offerings and improve customer experiences is something I eagerly anticipate.
