Xero Integration with iManage

ESV is a leading business advisory and accounting firm founded in 1973, offering a wide range of services including Advisory, Taxation, Audit, and Outsourced CFO and Family Office services. With over 80 dedicated team members and global expertise through their membership in The International Accounting Group (TIAG), ESV provides personalised support to clients across Australia and internationally, helping them grow and succeed. 

Overview

Previously, ESV was using APS as their practice management tool but moved to Xero Practice Manager (XPM) in 2023 without updating the integration with iManage. This resulted in double handling, where new client or job setup in XPM had to be repeated in APS to ensure that iManage workspaces were created for document management.

 

To resolve this issue and improve operational efficiency, the firm engaged OIA to build a direct integration between XPM and iManage. The goal was to eliminate the need for manual, duplicate data entry across systems, which was not only time-consuming but also increased the risk of errors.

The implementation of OIA’s Xero integration for iManage has streamlined ESV’s workflows by eliminating inefficiencies and manual processes. With the integration, new clients or jobs created in Xero Practice Manager (XPM) automatically generate corresponding workspaces in iManage. This ensures all relevant files and emails are readily accessible within the appropriate workspaces, enhancing the team's ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively. Additionally for ESV, the synchronisation reduced administrative effort, eliminating duplicate data entry, and minimised errors.

The transition was remarkably smooth, with users noting no disruptions during the switch, demonstrating the effectiveness of OIA’s approach. The project was executed efficiently, with clear communication maintained through email, allowing steady progress without the need for frequent calls.

The established partnership between OIA and ESV provided assurance of achieving the desired business outcomes while ensuring a seamless implementation with minimal operational disruption.
